Weekend Crime Report From Plano Police Department
Plano police logged 14 thefts 11 burglaries six acts of criminal mischief and six accidents over the weekend with four injuries and 193 calls answered. Items stolen included wallets gasoline money clothing bicycles hubcaps and a car. Burglaries touched four residences six autos and an office at Los Rios Country Club. Recovered items included CB radios a billfold two bicycles and a stolen car. Twelve arrests were made for traffic intoxication and warrants. Injuries occurred in several crashes with two drivers hospitalized minor injuries reported for others.

Fire department handles weekend calls with few serious fires
Plano Fire Dept recorded 15 runs over the weekend with no major fires. Ambulance service logged 10 runs. Sunday calls included lightning strike on a home at 2005 Williamsburg, smoke survey at First Presbyterian Church at 15th St and Jupiter Rd, water in a building at Town Plaza Laundry, and an electrical transformer outage on Janice Dr. Saturday noted a transformer fire at Willow Bend Polo and Hunt Club and a dumpster fire at Park Mall Shopping Center. Friday saw a fire alarm at Texas Instruments with no fire found and incidents of car fire, washing machine short, and stove wiring issues.
