$13 000 Needed For Home Move

The Collin County Board of Realtors Bicentennial Committee seeks donations to move the old George House to Heritage Park. Sub committee chairman Bud Wiser says only about ten percent of the required funds are raised and $13 000 more is needed to ensure a professional move along a planned route from 16th St and Avenue L to the new site at FM 544 and Custer Rd. He urges every Plano family to contribute, noting some builders may help.

A new Standard Rate and Data Service market study shows Collin County households spent heavily in food and home goods, with $46,822,000 in local grocery outlays and about 30 cents of each dollar in retail purchases going to take home food. Connally plans social party at Picosa Ranch airstrip

FDA orders bold warnings on tranquilizers during early pregnancy

The FDA says Valium Librium Miltown and similar tranquilizers may cause birth defects and requires bold-face warnings on packaging. Car Wash Set For Tomorrow By Plano ROTC Unit

The Plano Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps drill team will hold a car wash Saturday at the Texaco Service Station on the west access road of Hwy 75 and FM 544. Fees are $1 for cars and $1.50 for pickups to fund an educational fund for the drill team leaders. Proceeds support attendance at an Aug 4–7 leadership and drill course at the University of Texas at Arlington.
