Fireworks disturbance prompts Plano police actions over weekend
Plano police logged 167 calls during Independence weekend with 60 fireworks related arrests or citations. Five adults were arrested for illegal fireworks, plus one for posting signs. Lightning Damages Three Plano Homes in Weekend Storms
Plano Fire Dept reports three homes struck by lightning Monday afternoon and night. Surrey Lane and Canterberry Court both suffered chimney and roof damage while Greywood Street home lost a TV antenna, a TV and wiring. A Canterberry resident was slightly injured when a brick fell from the chimney. Fire crews logged 14 fire runs and seven ambulance calls over the holiday weekend.
