Police Seek Houston Man for Assault on Plano Officer
A Houston man who bitten a Plano officer three times during an early Sunday arrest for public intoxication remains at large after escaping from Parkland Hospital. He was later found by Highland Park police but released due to lack of notice from Plano. The officer was treated and released. Other weekend arrests include two for driving while intoxicated, three on warrants, two for public intoxication, and one for traffic and disorderly conduct. Police also handled nine theft reports, two residential burglaries, eight criminal mischief reports, and 146 calls for resistance. Two accidents occurred Saturday involving four vehicles. Lovejoy School District residents face a Feb. 28 deadline for school tax payments due to late statements. Commissioners set punchcard voting rental fees and opened bids for truck tractors, while some county actions were postponed or clarified.
