Private Planes Crash Across Coasts Kill 23
In Virginia and California, two separate in flight collisions killed 23 people. A Newport News Air Force plane with seven aboard collided with a small private craft. nine bodies were found in the James River. Temple man found dead with stab wounds near railroad tracks
Nicholas Santana Chevez, 32, was found dead Thursday near the Santa Fe railroad tracks in Temple with multiple stab wounds. An autopsy was ordered. Relatives say he left home Wednesday night and was not seen again until his body was found by a Santa Fe brakeman and conductor. His wallet lay near the body and his car was nearby. he appeared to have crawled toward it before dying.
Jussell Nominated to Texas Outer Continental Shelf Board
Michael J. Jussell, natural resources coordinator for Texas Office of State Federal Relations in Washington, was nominated as the Texas representative on the Department of Interior outer continental shelf research management advisory board.
