The Texas Municipal League will hire a consultant to determine if cities should oppose an electric rate increase sought by Texas Power and Light Co. Executive director Dick Brown said representatives of more than half the TP and L cities attended a closed meeting and agreed all affected cities should contribute to funding the study.
