The Collin County Commissioners Court announced two Plano vehicle registration substations to open mid February. One would be at Palisades Square Shopping Center Central Expny and FM 544, the other somewhere in east Plano with a site yet to be found.

Henrie Receives 80 Year Sentence For First Degree Murder
Eighteen-year-old Greg Henrie was convicted Friday of first degree murder in Collin County. He received an 80 year penitentiary sentence after about five hours of jury deliberation. The Sept. 26 slaying occurred near Murphy, with Lynn Studd of Lake Jackson killed and Kenneth Avery of Garland also dead. Henrie's companion was not charged in the case and testified for the state. The defense seeks an appeal discussion ahead of a formal sentencing date set for Feb. 10.
