Defensive Driving Course Planned At Plano YMCA
The Plano YMCA offers a National Safety Council defensive driving course in two four hour sessions on January 14 and 21 from 1 30 to 5 30 pm at 2601 Glencliff Dr. The program costs 10 and may reduce insurance by 10 percent and cut accident probability by about 32.8 percent. Registration is underway at the YMCA.

AA Offers New Year’s Alternative Alcothon in Irving
The Irving Alcoholics Anonymous chapter hosts an Alcothon for the New Year weekend. The event runs from 2 p.m. Saturday with an informal meeting, a pot-luck dinner, dancing, and a midnight black-eyed pea supper. Families are welcome and some non-alcoholics outnumber drinkers. Football games on TV will be shown for New Year’s Day.
