Alcohol Nixed Crashes During Holiday Police Wary
Police warn for fewer accidents during the holiday period after 43 crashes in the Christmas weekend. Burn Victim Returns After Weekend Fire
John William Nicolaisen of 2613 Charter Oaks is back at Plano General Hospital after a blaze at his home in which gas range flames ignited contact cement. He suffered second and third degree burns covering about 20 percent of his body while trying to move the burning cement outside. Fire damage was centered in the kitchen living area with heavy smoke elsewhere. Fire Marshal Bill Threet cited $2,000 in damages and noted four fire units and 12 men responded to the 4:58 p.m. call.
