PFD reports Thirteen fires this weekend across area
Firefighters extinguished thirteen fires over four days including seven grass fires and two house blazes. The largest was at Breezeway Farms near Allen's FFA where a trash burn sparked a pasture blaze. Units from Allen Plano One and Plano Two fought multiple grass fires and other incidents across several streets.

City pounds extend hours for Christmas Eve pet adoptions
The City Service Center on FM 544 East will stay open until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve to place animals. Cats may be adopted free, dogs require a $5 pound fee plus a $1 city registration fee. The shelter opens at 8 a.m. tomorrow as staff seek homes for the animals.

About 200 disadvantaged Plano children were treated to the annual Jaycee Shopping Spree at the Ben Franklin Store. Collin County Approves Fees and Office Renovation Plan
