Bull Killed In Traffic Mishap
A Brahman bull was killed and one person injured in two related weekend traffic incidents near SH 289 north of Yeary Rd. An officer pursued the animal as it wandered into traffic then a 1972 Pontiac struck it. The enraged bull charged a second car before being destroyed by a sergeant.

Thirty Calls Answered By Firefighters In Plano Weekend
Plano firefighters responded to 30 calls over the weekend per Fire Marshal Bill Threet. Ambulance runs totaled 12 and nine were actual fires. Four dumpsters were extinguished late Friday into Saturday. Fire incidents included Park Mall at 10:31 p.m. and 16th and J at 1:20 a.m. plus 1600 block of K at 1:29 a.m. rekindled at 3:02 a.m.
