Policeman Buried Today With Honors
Officer Jessie Barton Hugghins 32 died Sunday at his Garland home of an apparent heart attack. A four year veteran of the Garland Police, he served in Traffic and was escorted to Crown Hill Cemetery by an honor guard. Survived by mother Mary Lee Hugghins and siblings, services held at Dudley M. Hughes Funeral Home Chapel.

Two Men Escape Alive After Flaming Car Crash
Edward Michael Sabatally and Morris Scott were injured early Saturday when their 1973 Chevrolet careened on Dallas North Parkway near Shiloh Road, rolled eight times, and ignited. Sabatally remains in fair condition at Parkland Hospital. Scott was treated and released for minor injuries after escaping the burning vehicle.
