City Council votes to add meetings and set natatorium fees
The Plano City Council agreed to raise meeting frequency to four times monthly starting in October, with two added sessions times to be decided. Affected debate split on attendance and staff workload while Bonnie Jeane proposed 4 pm starts but was opposed by Mayor Whitsitt. The council also adopted a new natatorium fee schedule with unchanged daily fees, higher season passes, and fall options, aiming to break even. A public park recreation facilities policy was approved to allocate and communicate facility needs, with priority to Plano residents and workers, and an ordinance to raise subdivision filing fees to about 16 dollars per lot.
