Plano City Council to vote on 1.8 million bond for new city hall

Plano plans a 1.8 million general obligation bond sale to fund a new city hall building expansion and service needs through 1990. An Oct. 10 election date is proposed along with public hearings on the 1977-78 budget and use of 470 thousand dollars in revenue sharing funds.

Grayson College Offers Plano Evening Credit Courses

Registration for college credit classes in Plano begins Tuesday at Williams High School. CCD courses include accounting biology and history among others. Teachers Begin In Service Tomorrow at Senior High

Hospital Contracts Considered By Collin County Court

The Collin County Commissioners Court will meet at 9 a.m. Monday to review a renewal contract with Wichita Falls State Hospital for a mental health clinic and a new contract for alcoholism after care. Also on the agenda are redrawing election precincts to meet Texas Election Code size limits, minutes, and financial transactions. An executive session is planned to discuss personnel.

Volunteers Needed for Plano Information and Referral Center

The newly established Information and Referral Service in Plano seeks at least 30 volunteers to staff three daily shifts five days a week. Volunteers will link callers to agencies, coordinate resources, and help plan services while handling confidential information. Training begins August 29 with sessions in Plano and Dallas, and volunteers can call 422-1850 for details.
