The Planning and Zoning Commission held a lengthy meeting with four public hearings as about 90 residents opposed rezoning 1001 acres in the Hunters Glen addition. Folsom Investments proposed changing 920 acres west of Independence Pkwy from SF-2 with a golf course permit to SF-3 citing insufficient current interest.

Two deputies from Grayson and Collin County arrested a 41 year old woman in Farmersville for illegal sale of beer and spirits. They seized about 60 half pints of bourbon and other beer and wine before remanding her to Collin County Jail.

Vines High to Distribute Valhalla Yearbook Thursday

Police Record Weekend Activity in Plano Exposed
Plano Police answered 182 calls over the weekend with 16 thefts including gasoline, batteries, cameras, wallets and medical equipment. 21 people were arrested including seven juveniles as runaways and nine with traffic warrants. Three traffic mishaps were investigated, including a Friday collision at Ave E involving a 1976 Buick and a 1972 Honda resulting in minor injuries to Gary Teaney who was hospitalized.
