A 43 year old Dallas man will face arson charges after an early morning bedroom fire at a Plano residence. He was treated for a minor leg burn at Plano General Hospital and held in Plano City Jail after being arrested at the scene on Armstrong Drive. The southeast bedroom burned fully, with extensive smoke and heat damage. loss estimated at about $5,000. Firefighters arrived nine men with four pieces of equipment, extinguishing the blaze by 12:37 a.m. and clearing the scene at 2:12 a.m. The owner Linda Green was away when the fire was reported at 12:16 a.m.
Police answered 80 calls for assistance on Tuesday and investigated two residential and two motor vehicle burglaries. Five suspects were arrested on warrants or violations. Four thefts were reported and five accidents recorded with three named collisions on Regal and 15th Street.
