The City Council rejects a one way plan on Mill Valley and Highedge, allowing both north and south bound traffic. New amber flashers and painted warnings will be installed on FM 544 near Two Fire Station and the 9 10 grade school. A left turn ban during school hours may be studied and a crossing guard plus sworn officer will be stationed at Vines during peak periods.

Plano Youth Severely Burned In Grass Fire Accidents
Ten year old Dave Moore is in Parkland Hospital Burn Center with second and third degree burns over 47.5 percent of his body after his clothing ignited while mowing at home. Fire officials say gasoline fumes likely caused the blaze and neighbor Wakefield helped extinguish the flames before he was rushed to Richardson General and then to the burn center. Fire department operations included five other ambulance calls, two grass fires, two odor investigations, and pumping water from three homes.
