Obituary of Daniel DeWitt Brokaw A Community Leader
Daniel DeWitt Brokaw, long a Plainfield area figure, died suddenly on a Plainfield to Newark train en route to work. The North Plainfield resident, born on the Brokaw farm, was years removed from colonial days. He kept home life first and avoided public offices, leaving private duties to family and close friends. Burial was at Hillside cemetery after a simple home service attended by relatives and business associates.
