Busy Corporal Recruits Eighteen More Soldiers
Corporal Ernest Peek in Plainfield is recruiting for the National Army Bodsett drive. Eighteen new enlistees from Plainfield and nearby towns bring total to seventy five since March 20. Dr. Buchanan a Muhlenberg Hospital staff member and longtime Plainfield physician died after a lengthy illness. He served as attending physician for the Children’s Home and was active in many fraternal orders including Golden Eagles and Freemasons. Survived by his wife Miss Lidie Cottom and daughter Miss Mary, the funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church tomorrow at 3 30 PM.
