Woman's Club Meeting Highlights Music and Debates
The Woman's Club Mothers Department met in the library while Mrs. John Hanna was away in California. Jeanette Hampton Edwards spoke on music and Victrola use, with charts illustrating instrument histories. Chas. Symons sang two songs and the department donated the charts to schools. The executive board outlined plans for the Sonics and decoration duties for the library rooms. The club recently bought cups and plates, with Miss Mima Luss named custodian for the dinnerware. New officers include President Mrs. Alice Charles and several vice presidents and secretaries. The Union Home Economics Club held its first social of the year at Mrs. Hawthorn’s home with refreshments. The Purdo Short Course will be represented by Mrs. Wallace Townsend.

The Friday Club hosted a dinner for their husbands and guests at the Masonic Temple last Friday. The cafeteria service featured Christmas decor and a menu with baked chicken escalloped oysters sweet potatoes and brick ice cream.
