Taylor R Hadley longtime manager of the Great Western Sugar factory in Fort Collins and Windsor dies of pneumonia after several days illness. He was a respected business leader, Rotary member, and civic advocate with families and colleagues mourned across the region. Funeral services were held at Fort Collins with burial in Greeley.

Girls win crowning game over Central Normal College
The girls led by strong forwards and quick midget guards defeated Central Normal College 19 to 7 on their home floor last Tuesday night. Spectators enjoyed fast teamwork and the center's contribution. the team plans to challenge Danville High School next and celebrate at Smith's cafe with Patrem hosting the supportive crowd.

Flu patient dedicates hospital apartment at Cooper building
Dr. Ernest Cooper’s hospital apartment adjoining his offices in the Cooper building opposite the library is redecorated and furnished for service. The three south rooms are lighted heated and ventilated with a white and soft yellow rear room. The apartment was dedicated by Wilbur Kellum of Friendswood who was the first patient to be cared for there. The hospital will serve general practice and tonsil operations.

A broken flange on a Vandalia line freight near Bridgeport halted traffic from about 7 until 11 o clock Monday. East bound cars jumped the Six Points crossing, damaged pig iron cars, tore rails, and delayed No. 27 from New York. No injuries reported.

On February 8, Mr and Mrs L W Simmons celebrated their silver wedding anniversary. A feast featured roasts of chicken, beef and pork with all the trimmings. Mrs Cynthia Bryant cooked. Gifts were described as very pretty and valuable. About fifteen guests could not attend due to sickness. The day was reported as very enjoyable.

Hendricks County Farmer Dies After Hog Attack
Frank Snodgrass a 56 year old farmer living between Coatesville and Fillmore died after hogs attacked him in his barn yard following a stroke. His wife with a broken arm tried to drive them off as neighbors aided him. he died a few hours later. He is survived by his widow and a son Charles.
