A Guilford Town farmers meeting at the library last Thursday praised as the best of the year. W F Franklin urged support for local, county, and state organizations. Mrs Walter Hadley spoke on women on the farm and home economics clubs as a federation department. A chorus and Lawrence Newlin reading were featured. Former Plainfield residents C. K. Little and Fred Little expanded Little's Grocery at the corner of Henry and Henderson streets in Greenwood to include a modern car market. The shop now features a Hus sian cooler, refrigerator freezer counter, and vegetable case. The business, with half interest bought by C. K. Little, has seen continual improvements and aims to be a show place in Greenwood.

The Guilford Township teachers were treated to a luncheon prepared by Miss Carrol and her domestic science students after a morning teachers institute. Attendees included Johnson Stevenson Barker Swindler Love DeWeese Scott Tucker Hadley Almond Negus Stephens Sims Calbert Hagee Pike McCreary Day Sellars and Miss Carrol. Menu featured rolled beef steak, dressing, candied sweet potatoes, cranberry jelly pickles bread butter pineapple and bead lettuce salad plum pudding with lemon sauce coffee mints. Place cards decorated with Christmas themes were painted by Olive Mills and Josephine Harvey from the seventh grade art class.

Local Man Injured When Car Hits Concrete Mixer
Theodore Bybee, 26, of this place, one of four injured Saturday night when the auto they rode in crashed into a concrete mixer on West Washington street Indianapolis. Victors Menestee Richard Bever and Mrs Richard Bever were also hurt. Bever drove and failed to see the unlighted mixer owned by C Miller of Lebannon. Bybee and the others were taken to city hospital and are reported past a critical condition.

The Indiana Cattle Feeders Association will meet at Purdue University on Saturday December 18. Seventy two year old steers will start the annual winter feeding test now in its third year.
