County Music Memory Contest Held Across County
Brownsburg won high school first place and Clayton second at the county music memory contest in Danville. Pittsboro took grade school top honors with Brownsburg second. Six gold medals were awarded among the two winning teams and six silvers given as second prizes. The Metropolitan Trio of Indianapolis performed for both divisions and a 30 minute prelude preceded Stunt Night.

Widow Susanna Hadley and six children survive including Osie Hadley at home and others in Danville, Warren C Ohio, Henderson Ky, Friona Tex. Flooding From Heavy Monday Rain Swamps Lowlands
The heaviest rains Monday caused White Lick Creek to overflow, flooding bottom lands from north to south of Main Street bridge. The Mooresville pike area along the county line became a wide river, wheat damaged, basements flooded, roads washed out, and winds damaged roofs and trees.
