Getting into the wrong Box A Story of Down East
A Portland scene recounts a coastal visitor from Passamaquoddy mistaken for a customer in a harbor district. He enters the Eagle Coffee House and then the Custom House, confusing authorities, until a humorous misidentification is resolved. A separate vignette on peaches shows a family lesson on prudence and virtue through a father’s parable about seeking, selling, and sharing.
