Rev Dill Leaves Sterling Amid Clergy Dispute

Reports say Rev Arthur C. Dill, former Sterling Presbyterian pastor, faced a secret presbytery investigation over charges as affidavits from the Torreys, Moffatts, Mrs Cooper and others are submitted to the body. Dill left Sterling for New York City to pursue further study and declined to discuss his troubles or plans.

Peace Street Extension Discussed at Township Meeting

North Plainfield Township Committee held a quorum in Spencer's Hall last evening to discuss the Peace street extension. The matter and the appointment of commissioners were deferred to the 27th inst. a bill of 311.71 for crushed stone was ordered paid.

The Plainfield City Council adjourned after a lengthy session discussing street railway testimony and proposed Westervelt avenue to Orange improvements.
