Last Saturday evening a fire totally consumed the Nelson B. Giles barn and dairy, three miles south of New Market. Fourteen cows, five horses, wagons and hay perished. Fire suspected arson with tramps seen nearby. DeWitt Giles first saw flames and failed to save livestock. The barn was a year old and highly inflammable. One horse belonged to a New Brunswick owner.
