First Ward Republican Primary Nominates Councilman and Others

The First Ward Republican primary was held in the Republican Association room on East Front Street. Elias H. Bird was nominated by James T. McMurray for Councilman. Joseph B. Coward chaired. Richard Cornell served as clerk. William Addis appointed Judge of Election with George W. Moore and F. Bird as inspectors. Additional nominations included L. Peterson for Justice of the Peace and R. Hope for Constable. Members of the City Republican Executive Committee and delegates to the City Convention were named.

Street fight in Maple avenue shocks Bound Brook village

Got It. the New Market representative of the Bound Brook Iefocrat describes a Sunday clash on Maple avenue. A gang from Plain town fought in the village before tea, leaving one man with a wound at the back of his neck. The notice expresses relief that such disturbances occur to those involved.

Fisck Brothers Hartimam Accident On East Third Street

Joseph Flack and his brother John were injured when a wagon king-bolt broke on East Third Street. The wagon collapsed and both men were thrown to the road. John suffered a dislocated arm and serious bruising while Joseph recovered sufficiently to be out today.

Borough Council to Hold Regular Session This Evening

The Borough Council will meet in regular session this evening to discuss local matters and approve agenda items.

Michael F. Watson owner and Ralph V. Saums contractor agree to erect a house on the northeast corner of Grant Avenue in Plainfield for 3650 dollars. Architect W. H. Clem. Contract dated October 27, 1891 and filed November 4, 1891.
