Little Emma Seible Dies Playing Near Bon Fire

Emma Seible, five, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Reible, formerly of North Plainfield now Titusville New Jersey, died after her clothing caught fire from matches igniting a bonfire near their home. The body will be brought to North Plainfield for burial in Presbyterian Cemetery.

Special Policeman Babbitt Shot on Netherwood Heights

Special Policeman James Babbitt, unemployed night watchman for Water Supply Co, was shot in the right arm while rabbit hunting with a companion near the Netherwood Hotel. Nearly Lost His Eye Sight in Powder Explosion

George Staats, twelve, of No 2 East Third street, nearly lost his eyesight this morning when a premature powder explosion flashed into his eyes, hands, and face. A doctor attended him and hoped to restore his sight, but he is likely to be disfigured for life.
