Plainfield program features Greek tableaus and musical numbers
The event showcased Miss Bowers and Miss Marchand with light dramatic readings. Greek tableaus by nine young women in white robes drew attention, with scenes like Scouse from the Battle of the Amazons and Death of Virginia praised. Other items included the Elizabeth Quartet and a New Jersey Wheelmen meet in Vineland on June 27. A Netherwood station petition drew an encouraging response from Central Railroad officials. Somerville hosts a ball in the Central New Jersey League as West Enders and Y M C A Elizabeth play their second game.
