Runaway in Two Charters Ends with Falls and Fractures

A Saturday afternoon incident on Front Street near Park Avenue describes T. F. Sykes of Bootel Pisin driving a single horse wagon when the horse alarmed by electric cars caused a two-charter run. The wagon struck another vehicle, toppled, and both men were thrown clear and unharmed. Bystanders halted the horse near Eduall's store after a heavy lamp shattered. Sykes then tried to pass between two wagons, the wheel tangled, the wagon lifted, and the scene continued with disruptions along Park Avenue. Meanwhile Reverend Richardson, delivering a service at Park Avenue Baptist, fell ill from overwork and nervous strain, with doctors advising rest as the season approaches.
