Tramps Arrested After Seattle Area Burglary Spree
During winter and spring a rise in tramp activity troubled Washington Park and North Plainfield. Three men roamed, committing minor offences and some serious crimes. Marshal Pangborn arrested them after a report from Washington Avenue. One tramp tried demanding money at Townsend house and Overton’s residence but was refused.

Man Caught Stealing Neighbor’s Horse Near Park Avenue
Benjamin Hand reported his horse missing during a prayer meeting on Somerset street North Plainfield. Officer Flanagan tracked the horse to Conneely’s saloon where William Calloway was found taking the blanket from the animal. Calloway was driven to the station and jailed. Hand declined to press charges and the court set a seven dollar fine.
