Boeros. March 31. At 4 am a fire in Clark's Hotel on Washington street led to panic among about fifty guests. Ernest Perry of Leominster was killed after falling from a third floor exit. T W Seathbridge of Cambridge died from injuries. Several others were injured, some escaping through collapsing grating and windows. Firemen fought through dense smoke. six chambermaids were rescued from attics. The hotel, owned by Edward Bang, sustained heavy damage with losses to furnishings and nearby businesses.
