In Elim bethport Saturday the Crescenta beat Westfield 12 to 2 in the third game of the series. Key moments included Holford, Daley, Turner scoring late and a three base hit by the Crescenta’s Uhe sphere to win the game. West Ends and Elizabeth teams competed in a separate afternoon match with Gilliam’s long drive and strong pitching by Anderson shaping the score. A crowd of about a thousand cheered, while local officials and club members reflected on future league dates and a possible centennial celebration for Westfield in 1896.
