Seventeen or more bodies have been recovered with three to four still missing, and a funeral procession left near Courage Grove Avenue. Eight caskets were laid out for viewing, with services at Father Hinchen’s church and a later Protestant service at Oakwood cemetery. The plot for burial was donated by Marcus A. Farwell.
