Samuel Giles of Dunalieo moved his prized thoroughbred chickens to Tottenville in a wagon. The coop fell from the wagon during the trip after ropes securing it were cut, and the chickens disappeared. Giles faced the loss and the mystery of who cut the ropes remains unsolved.
Judge W A Cuddington presided over the probate of Mrs Judah's will in Fanwood township. The estate, once thought meagre after her death, is now expected to be worth several thousand dollars with three small bequests to other relatives. Lie estate is to be probated at Elizabeth with the judge named sole executor.
Private funeral for Mr Babeonk for relatives and immediate priests with a public service to follow later. Rev Dr J Lewis explains limitation as home cannot accommodate all. A separate public memorial service is planned by Garder Day Baptist Church on a future date.

It was decided to close all schools on Wednesday for the funeral. The next board meeting will be on the first Tuesday of the new year.
Lawrence Wallace of Scotch Plains was released from jail after serving a sentence for a crime described as a Jiy von act toward Colonel Moore. He expresses gratitude to the colonel for the sentence, stating it cleared him of any connection with the alleged incident in Scotch Plains three months ago.
