Germantown Wedding at St Peter's Church

Miss Josephine Shreve formerly principal of Bryant School wed William Bullock in Germantown at St Peter's Episcopal Church with a Philadelphia wedding party and society guests. Rev Rumney officiated as Edith Proctor served as maid of honor and bridesmaids in white and yellow silk. The couple later traveled to Philadelphia for a reception and a tour of the South.

Bedlow Estate Probate Disinherites Family

Surrogate Ransom admitted Alfred Bedlow's will after a two week contest. Bedlow disinherits his wife and three children while Miss Stillwell is named executrix and almost sole legatee. Keeler presented papers showing transfers to Miss Stillwell with promises of funds for his needs and expenses.

Pair and Supper at Trinity Reformed Church Fair

The Ladies' Christian Work Society of Trinity Reformed Church held an opening night at 74 West Front Street featuring a fair with tables for bag conundrum lemonade candy apron and fancy goods. Supper served from 5 30 pm for 35 cents under Mrs P M Demarest and others. Weather praised with thanks to the weather bureau.

Brakeman Hurt at Cranford Junction on Fast Freight

John Taylor, brakeman on Baltimore & Ohio No. 691, had his left hand badly mashed at Cranford Junction while the train was cut and reconnected. He was brought to the city on the 9:14 p. m. train, treated by Dr. J. T. Fritts, and returned to his Philadelphia home.

Mr George H Fountain spoke on The Growth of Civilization at the Y M C A rooms last night. He traced man’s progress by the tools of the Stone Bronze and Iron Ages noting early use of fire and the progression to the Copper Age and finally the Electrical Age.

Fire destroys Mahlon Edgar barn near Rahway

A blaze erupted at 1.30 yesterday morning on the Mahlon Edgar farm outside Rahway, destroying a barn and its contents, two pigs, and hay and farm implements estimated at 2000 dollars. Authorities suspect incendiaries. the local fire department did not respond due to distance from city limits.

Store of Van Burgh and White Draws City Shoppers

One of the busier storefronts on Front Street is Van Burgh and White. The store advertises a wide display of goods including pictures willow ware laces tea and dinner sets toilet articles and a variety of children’s toys and books. An invitation is extended to all ages to visit and see their selection.
