Death of Lawyer Jackson in Plainfield Era
The death of Connellor John H. Jackson, longtime member of the firm Tarkson & Angloman, occurred at seven this morning. He was born in April 1849 and studied law in New York, admitted to the New Jersey bar in 1872, practiced briefly in Ratway, then moved to Plainfield forming a partnership with George Suydam. After various changes, W. S. Anglieman joined as partner. he was the first Borough Counselor and highly respected for his legal acumen. Funeral services are set for Saturday at one o'clock, with local bar members as pallbearers. In other notes, a drill on parliamentary rules was held last night at the old Seventh Day Baptist Church led by Mrs. Benjamin of Michigan, with Misa Care Peck introducing her and guiding the questions and drills under the W.
