Eads Jetties Inspectors Confirm Depth Gain and Payout
Colonel James P. Andrews reports the official inspection of the Eads jetties shows the South Pass depths have increased by three to four feet on average. A final payment under the act is due within ten years of completion, and Mrs. Eads will receive a portion of the guaranty sum as the government settles the claim for Captain Eads.
