The Cincinnati Presbytery heard Prof. Henry P. Smith defend his views as Rev. Lowe pressed the sufficiency of the indictment. Lowe argued for inerrancy of Scripture and questioned Smiths compliance with church vows. Smith countered with calls for mercy and warned that excommunication would affect many faithful ministers. The session adjourned with a committee to study the Smith case further.

Alderman Brinker celebrated a wedding yesterday in the mayor’s office at Allegheny in Major Kennedy’s absence. Thomas Ragen pleaded to Kate Devine’s complaint and the dispute ended with their marriage. Serjeant Stewart Hamilton stood as best man and Mrs Drummond, the matron, served as bridesmaid.

Duquesne Traction Company Reports Missing Data
The Duquesne Traction Company's report to the State Auditor for 1891, due last January, was filed yesterday with omitted net earnings, operating expenses, and dividends declared. The six month report ending June 30, 1892, is not presented. The submission lists 26 miles of track, 60 cars, stock $3,000,000, funded debt $632,000, other debt $58,000, and various earnings figures.
