Appeals Over Diamond Street Widening Clash With Opera House

E D Wilt lessee of the Grand Opera House and Thomas Rose & Son appeal the Board of Viewers ruling on widening Diamond street. Wilt cites lease terms from 1887 to 184 and planned improvements costing £5000, arguing the project destroys the theater and reduces lease value. They contend the street act of May 16, 1889 is unconstitutional and that the widening is not a proper public improvement. The court orders record remittance.
