Not One Exception A Plea For Temperance Fails
The Anti Secret Society Convention met with strong denunciation of secret orders. Dr. Stoddard and Rev. Weaver led attacks on Masons Odd Fellows and Knights Templar while defending temperance. Speakers argued church fellowship should drop members in secret societies and noted Protestant ministers largely opposed such orders. The conference adopted a resolution opposing secret societies and concluded with criticisms of charitable societies as misused funds.

Unscrupulous Testimonial For Klein's Rye Whisky
A dated testimonial extols Klein's Silver Age Rye Whisky as a first class article and a desirable stimulant. The crowd of names appears cluttered with scattered individuals and locations, including Pittsburgh ties and miscellaneous signatures, typical of unsolicited endorsements.

Blurred Death Notices From 1890s Allegheny Area
A batch of obituary notices and funeral details torn from a 19th century Pittsburgh area page. Entries list names such as Blew and Fenny with ages and residences, dates in March, funeral locations including Passavant's Infirmary and Greenleaf Street, and references to Vine Cliff Council and local addresses. The mixed legibility yields scattered dates like March 23 1682 and 1892 1893, with scattered church and rail stop mentions. The notices invite family and friends to attend services, with private interments and travel details to Union Depot noted in a few items.
