A Plea for Smith and Hunter Pleaded in Harrisburg

Colonel W. D. Moore traveled to Harrisburg to appeal before the Board of Pardons on behalf of Frank Hunter an Oil City youth serving nine months for a serious charge. Johnstown Thief Arrested by Local Detectives

Detectives Shore and Robinson arrested Julius Cohen at Fifth Avenue and Smithfield Street on charges of stealing 300 from Johnstown about a week ago. An explosion at the Black Diamond Steel Works followed a gas leak and improper repair. John Hart 83 married, living near Thirtieth street, most severely burned though not critical. John Litthe John Luther Andrew Micham injured in the blast. Cauldflower fell from a ladder at Howe Brown Co. mill breaking left leg in two places. Whitemore injured on a cable car with leg and scalp wounds. Fay escaped uninjured after wagon smashed by coal train. A counter at Mrs. Wilkes auction collapsed injuring several ankles. Daubert fell 15 feet from a scaffold but no bones were broken and was admitted to a hospital.

Family quarrel ends with stabbing in Birmingham road home

A quarrel between stepbrothers John Youkas and Joseph Goliski on Birmingham road led to Youhas’s 20 year old son using a table knife to stab Goliski in the side under the left shoulder. The wound is not dangerous. The father was arrested and the son treated the wound by Dr Meyer.

John H. H. Jones, who attempted self harm in a New York church, was handed to Mystic Chain members and placed under their care. State Secretary John J. Davis traveled from New York with Jones, with reports of his arrival in Philadelphia en route elsewhere. A separate telegram denied a Dayton resident named Nolan A.
