Grand jury returns true bills on Saturday session

The grand jury, after years, convened on Saturday under Judge Ewing to dispose of business. True bills include larceny, horse stealing, false pretenses, malicious mischief, assault and battery, concealed weapons, selling liquor without a license, and disturbing public worship. Several bills were ignored. A. M. Miller & Sons, oil refiners, were fined for maintaining a nuisance from their Sixth ward refinery after sentence suspension was denied.
