Fazeno June 24 The Commercial Hotel at Sanger was destroyed by fire this evening. Six persons are said to have perished in the flames. No further details are obtainable now. Harrison's Ambition illustrated by stories told in The Diplomat tomorrow by Frank G. Carpenter.
In Harrisburg Pennsylvania the Western Express collided with a switch engine early this morning after leaving Philadelphia at 9 20 last night. Eight passengers killed and about forty injured. The crash telescoped two cars of the second section into the first. Victims include Richard Adams and his wife from the city, a man from Altoona and a man from New York. A mother missed her infant child believed not yet found. Ten bodies recovered including the infant. Robert Pitcairn and Mr Westinghouse and family of Pittsburgh were aboard but unharmed.

A 200 man mob gathered at Berks County Jail demanding the delivery of Peter Buccari to be hanged for the murder of Sister Hildaberta at St. Joseph's Hospital. Buccari, injured months earlier, was sheltered by the nun who later died after being stabbed by him in the kitchen. deputies and the governor’s protection were invoked as crowds threatened lynching.
