Compromise Delegates Elected as Episcopal Convention Ends
The Episcopal Convention opened with minutes read and committees reporting. After parishes were excluded for non payment, a £6500 deficiency was discussed with pledges to secure funding. Balloting for four clerical and four lay deputies produced deadlock then a compromise. Rev A D Heffern and Rev R Buffington were elected along with others. final adjournment came after decisions on missionary support and a £20,000 Shoenberger bequest.
