Pittsburgh Man Ends Life Under Sharpsburg Bridge
Teofil Waldowski a sign and house painter living at 312 Brereton avenue near West Penn Hospital undressed on the bank of the Allegheny River and drowned himself yesterday morning near Sharpsburg after leaving home to attend to business. A 9 year old witness saw him disrobe and enter the water as officials searched for the body through the night. Financial embarrassment and mounting judgment owed to Aldermen Kerr and Werner appear to have driven the act.
