St Ives and St Ives Bay in Cornwall’s antiquated charm
A vivid 1920s travel sketch of St Ives Cornwall by the sea. The author explores narrow streets, terraced houses, and curious closures and wynds, detailing landmarks such as Glaze House, the parish church famed for Tudor woodwork, and the elevated churchyard. He notes the town’s thrifty fisher folk, devout Methodists, and picturesque coastal scenery including Pedwolva headland and Godrevy lighthouse.
