Time to East Exd. Penn Ry On Faster Service

District Passenger Agent Thomas E. Watt of the Pennsylvania Railroad says no official notice of a cable car fare cut to East Liberty is needed. He notes PRR runs 20 trains daily between Pittsburgh and East Liberty in under 12 minutes and claims commutation tickets yield a 2 cent cheaper fare. Watt argues reducing fares further would be unprofitable and contrasts PRR speed with crowded streetcars reaching Oakland in the same time. He concludes frequent streetcar stops slow the line.
