Sensational suit over forgotten will in Pittsburg real estate
A new ejectment suit filed by Keating and Cunningham heirs against J D Thompson and tenants centers on a will clause granting life interest to two sisters Rebecca McAdams and Martha Cunningham. The dispute concerns a Wood street site of about 1214 by 130 feet, with potential to affect extensive Eleventh ward property and title to a four story building. The case, a test of the old will, could trigger many similar actions as heirs push for settled claims and broader estates. Thompson showed deeds from 1870 for the 12 1/2 feet each, claiming full title and ground rent already paid, while heirs anticipate broader suits if this one wins.
