Accidents Hit City Yesterday In Street Cars And Mill

County appeals heard on assessments in four townships

County Commissioners yesterday listened to appeals from Marshall Springdale Sewickley and Union townships with few petitions. Springdale saw no assessor increase but a 60 percent board raise while Marshall rose 53-5 percent plus 20 percent by the board. Sewickley had half a cent increase and Union 6 1-5 percent. boards made no changes in either. Today Etna Patton Plum and Forward townships will have appeals.

Prisoners Held Over For Time In Western Penitentiary

Sheriff Seigle of Erie county brought prisoners to the Western Penitentiary yesterday. George Town senior received one year six months for attempted assault. William Simon Jr. got three years three months on two larceny counts. Patrick Curran four years three months on two larceny counts. Richard Alexander one year five months for larceny. Sheriff Cotter of Clearfield county brought John Allen two years six months for aggravated assault and battery.
